8 buttermilk biscuits mix in a box (we like Jiffy brand)
1 lb. of sausage (Jimmy Dean brand in the tube works best)
4 c. of milk
4-8 T. flour
Prepare biscuits as instructed on package. Brown sausage in a skillet. As soon as sausage is completely browned, turn to medium heat. Whisk in the flour by the tablespoon, stirring constantly. Let the flour turn BROWN before adding another tablespoon (if you don’t take it slow, your gravy will taste like flour). After you have added enough flour to make the gravy as thick as you like, add the milk and whisk.
Serve over biscuits.
