Nana’s recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 t. salt
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 ½ c. flour
- 2 ½ c. oatmeal
- 1 t. baking soda
- 12 oz. chocolate chips (preferably Ghirardelli)
- 1 c. nuts (preferably sliced almonds)
INSTRUCTIONS
Drop in rolled balls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10-12 minutes (if using large balls and French baking sheets increase to 18-20 minutes).
