This is the recipe for the famous Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies. Makes a couple dozen, if you can refrain from eating all the batter.
- ½ c. butter
- ½ c. vegetable oil
- ¾ c. dark brown sugar
- ¾ c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
- 2 ½ c. cake flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1 t. salt
- 1 ½ c. chocolate chips
Mix butter, oil and sugars until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt, then mix into the butter/sugar mixture. Add chocolate chips. Refrigerate one hour or more. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet which has been covered in aluminum foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
