This simple recipe is one of our perennial favorites, as you can use it with any cooked greens, such as spinach, broccoli, broccoli rabe, turnip greens or mustard greens.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb green beans
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, finely sliced and diced
- 1 Tbsp roasted sesame seeds, ground
- roasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook green beans in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- Cut cooked green beans into 2″ long pieces.
- Grind sesame seeds, and mix with soy sauce and sugar in a bowl. You can add some diced fresh ginger, if you have it on hand (we keep ours in the freezer in one inch chunks).
- Mix sauce and green beans.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds
