Lee's Ferry, the White River, Lake Taneycomo, Bennet Springs, and the Pond are all my favorite fishing holes in and around Missouri.   We found that the RS2 works great on the tailwaters of Lake Taneycomo near Branson.  Fished at Bennet Springs, Andy's pink and orange micro scud works well, which I discovered after some other guy was doing well next to me with an egg, no one there for the most part but the others were doing anything.

For something different on Missouri trout streams, this Catholic priest invented a fly called the Deadly White (Micro) Jig which can be tied on a Dai Riki 730C size 8 with 3/16″ nickel bead head, or he uses bait fishing jigs in 1/124 or 1/64 for trout and bigger ones for bass or salmon. It has white crystal flash or other white flash thread for a body and white marabou tail for trout. For salmon, he adds with some crystal flash and marabou for salmon.

Sounds intriguing for both fly fishing for trout and bait casting for bass, which we like to do in Missouri where he was located as a pastor.

The Pond

Jimmy uses Trilene #8 pound test for bass and a variety of crappie jigs. I like Stren Fluorocast Fluorocarbon Fishing Line, Clear, 100-Yard/8-Pound.
