Airforce Condor SS

R&L Airguns suggested the Airforce .22 Condor SS with a Leapers Optics in blue, but the RAW was very tempting in .25 with it’s accuracy and built in moderator. We’ve added an additional Talon Tunes moderator to the Condor SS, to make this the perfect solution to prairie dogs in our horse pasture. The sound of the bolt spring firing is about as loud as a hand clap, which is now the only sound you here together with the impact sound. It is long at 48” with the moderator, so maybe we should have done the Talon SS with the new factory installed moderator by Airforce, but our version is 6” longer barrel length and 3” longer moderator, and has greater power, but even set at half power, it is very good on prairie dogs. The Diablo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 pellets are the best.
Pellets

Cleaning
For cleaning run a specialized bore cleaning cable with just a light coating of Ballistol oil on a couple patches occasionally. And lubricate any o-rings with suitable oil whenever gun is taken apart for maintenance. Always keep pressurized to 3000 psi, which helps preserve the seals, and keep gun uncocked to preserve spring.
Charging
The R&L portable mini compressor makes this setup very easy to recharge. Close the release valve, quick connect to rifle, and run for 2 minutes with just the fan on. Then hit the power button to turn on the compressor and wait for it to auto fill, making sure it is set to 3000 psi and make sure it doesn’t get hotter than 60C by letting fan run for a few minutes afterwards. It takes just a few minutes to top back off to 3000 psi.

Other tips: - JSB Match Exact Jumbo Heavy 18 grain pellets for everything from targets to hunting are recommended as the best by R&L.
The Bulls Bags and table will make for more accurate sighting in, as this thing shoots 1” groups at 100 yards, so it is extremely accurate.

The PRod Marauder pistol is also interesting in .22, a shorter stock can be attached and comes with the hunting version and a cheap red dot scope with no magnification, but we like the modified one that allows an AR stock from New England Air Gun Supply, together with a Bug Buster scope.
