• La Favorita Tortilla Chips
  • Ground beef or venison, browned in olive oil, seasoned with southwest seasoning
  • On the Border Salsa con Queso or Tostitos Salsa con Queso
  • Shredded medium cheddar or queso fresco
  • Salsa
  • Sour cream
  • other toppings such as sliced olives, sliced jalapenos, diced green chiles etc.

If you want to make it more gourmet, you can serve it with Chili’s copycat skillet queso instead:

Ingredients
1 16 oz block Velveeta cheese
1 15 oz can Hormel no bean chili
1 c milk
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. cumin
tortilla chips to serve

Instructions
Place all ingredients in a sauce pan and heat over medium. Stir and heat until cheese is melted and mixture is smooth. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

This recipe can also be made in the crock pot! Combine milk, chili powder, paprika, and cumin in a bowl. Place cheese block in crock pot and pour chili and milk mixture over top; heat on low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
