This a favorite of ours, inspired from Pat and Mary Scanlan’s fabulous dinner parties. What could be more lovely of a starter? Simply serve on a bed of fresh greens with a side of horseradish sauce and spicy cocktail sauce, with a few lemons for garnish:
- a dozen oysters on the half-shell
- stone crab claws
- cooked, jumbo cocktail shrimp
- caviar
- smoked whitefish or trout
- blue crab pieces
