Breakfast Caserole

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 slices bread
  • 1 lb. sausage (can also substitute ham)
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 t. dry mustard (can substitute mustard from a jar)
  • 1 t. salt
  • dash pepper
  • (we like to kick up with a dash Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of red pepper flakes, and dash of Tabasco sauce)

Tear the 6 slices of bread into small cubes.  Beat eggs slightly.  Brown the sausage and drain.  Mix all the ingredients.  Pour into a greased casserole and store overnight in the refrigerator.  Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.  Do not overbake.  Should be puffy and brown around the edges.
